Mintage of 768,000. Obv.- Uneven toning with a few fingerprint ridges hidden in the toning. Even the red is a mellow shade. Rev.- Once again uneven toning with a little purple/magenta here and there. About 50% red but once agian it's a mellowed red. Purchase this coin at the ILL. State Show in 1997 for $3 from Brian Heil. Had it graded by ANACS to see how they did. My notes show I was thinking it would grade a MS-65 R/B. It came back a MS-63. I was pissed, it was better than that. Crossed it over to a NGC where it came back as a MS-64 R/B. That's more like it.
