The 2007-D Jefferson nickel
Based on reference to these business struck nickels they are getting difficult to
find and a real challenge in five or six fullsteps as well. Most of these graded with
less than MS63 showing several deep cuts thats clearly visible to the naked eye.
You will also notice in this year' it is extremely difficult finding (both-sides) of the
coin mark-free and clean. Since the change to the Satin Finished type nickles' these
business struck nickels are scarce.These are another example of being a conditional
rarity of modern coinage.
This will always a challenge to the collector,but always that excitement hits home
or get a tingling sensation when one comes their way.This nickel I have here has it's
share of marks or scratches,however after seeing the population I will keep this and
staying optimistic in finding one in higher grade.
