Owner Comments:

Mintage 42,675,000
Minted at West Point and San Francisco without mintmark

The devices and fields appear somewhat "muted" (less blast white) in comparison to other MS-70 American Silver Eagles in my collection. The obverse and reverse are spotless with sharp details on all prime focal areas. With obvious original mint luster, smooth textured fields, as well as no hairlines, hits, scuff marks, abrasions or other defects, it is another gorgeous example of an American Silver Eagle in MS-70 condition. Some white spots seen on the photos on the obverse are photographical artifact and not milk spots.

Numismatic News: In mid-January 2013 the US Mint informed its authorized purchasers that it had temporarily sold out of the 2013 American Silver Eagle bullion coins. Business resumed later in the month and, by the end of January 7,498,000 coins were sold (a new single-month record for sales of the American Silver Eagle series). The grade percentage of MS-70 (as of July, 2015) on 2013 Silver Eagles was nearly 20%.

2013 average silver price (first quarter): $23.79/ounce
