Excellent New Caledonia essai specimen 20 francs with strong strike, super luster, and no toning. Fields are semi-prooflike while devices and mottoes exhibit like cameo frost. Very light contact marks and scratches are present on both sides commensurate with grade. Cost: $32.45 on 3/20/16 on eBay from George Schumacher (gs848).
Composition: Nickel. Weight: 10.0 grams. Diameter: 28.5 mm. Thickness: 2.0 mm. Edge: Reeded.
