Owner Comments:
Cincinnati's in general are tough commemoratives to find nice due to their scant mintages, as well as their large and open fields. The Philadelphia coin in this trio is an underrated and tough date with a low original mintage of just 5,005. Gem plus coins are scarce and not often available. This coin depicts a warm, coppery golden hue which envelops both coin sides. Additionally, luster booms off the extremely clean devices and fields. Surprisingly, only three coins have received a higher grade by PCGS, one of which was part of the celebrated Hidden Liberty collection. This coin's provenance is from the WPE collection, one of the all time nicest sets ever put together on the PCGS registry. CAC certified.
Provenance: WPE Collection.
Population: PCGS 120 (includes 9 in 66+), 3 in 67 (with 1 67+). NGC: 68 in 66 (1+/1*), 4 in 67. CAC 24, 1 higher in 67. (10-12)
