Owner Comments
The 1892 Columbian is an important date as it was the first commemorative half dollar struck in the classic series. This specimen is a gorgeous and well struck coin with almost mark free and radiant surfaces and is among the finest of the type. The lustrous obverse features spectacular concentric rim toning in shades of cobalt blue & emerald green, while the portrait of Columbus is bathed in hues of orange, rose, and golden yellow. The reverse has proof-like surfaces that blaze reflectively under the lightly toned central devices in colors of light orange and rose, that are framed by concentric rim toning in varied shades of emerald / forest green, and burnt orange. A wonderfully preserved example of this first year type.

NGC * certified and condition consensus with none higher. NGC 43 total with only 11in 67* & 3 in */+, PCGS 10 in 67, 2 in 67+.

A super coin of one of the nicest designs in the series. This coin features bright, lustrous, and rose colored surfaces with concentric obverse rim toning that shows hues of light green, rose and dark blue at and on liberty's cap/face area. The surfaces are very clean with only several tiny field hits seen under a 5 power loupe. The reverse also has jade rim coloring from 4-8:00. Nice strike and superior eye appeal. The coin is much nicer in hand than the photo.

Struck for the Chicago Columbian Exposition, this first commemorative endeavor of the U.S. Mint is lustrous and problem free. CAC certified.

This coin is the 2X4 variety of a scarce and low mintage early classic commemorative. This coin is very attractive with a light autumnal toning on both sides. The surfaces have a strong satiny luster and are very clean with only few marks on the entire coin, and those are only seen under 5X magnification. Good strike and eye appeal with CAC validating the grade.

A superb example featuring a light green and golden patina over the obverse and reverse. A possible early strike and upon close inspection the reverse shows characteristics for a Swiatek variety I, with a large letter L in the motto "pluribus" and the lack of clash and polish in the space between the tree leaves.A great example in super condition with a proof like contrast between the flashy fields and crisp detail of the devices. CAC certified.

Owner Comments
This Huguenot is a condition consensus population coin, a PCGS plate coin, and has a dynamic pedigree from two of the finest registry sets ever assembled. This brilliant and superb gem possesses a warm golden glow on both the obverse and reverse. Of note, George Morgan, the former chief engraver of the U.S. mint completed engravings of the Huguenot designs before his death. Back to this coin, there are virtually no marks on this remarkably preserved gem specimen.

Provenances to both the Bruce Scher & WPE collections.

This commemorative is typically plagued with problems and considered by many numismatists to be among the ugliest coins in the entire classic commemorative series. However, this coin defies that notion by presenting a coin with satiny original surfaces which reveal a delicate patina of steely blue mixed with orange, green & golden colosr on both the obverse and reverse. Great color and eye appeal.

A wonderfully colored and preserved Fort Vancouver commemorative that features crisp detail and immaculate fields with a vibrant golden and yellow undercoat highlighted with hints of iridescent lavender and dominant splashes of green and blue. The reverse has a similar array of color, but with a remarkable placement. The pioneer appears to be standing on golden ground, while the mountain and sky above have a blue and purple patina. A spectacular pristine example with only two coins grading finer by both of the top services. Off the charts color.

A highly appealing, carefully preserved example of an issue commemorating the 150th anniversary of Captain James Cook's arrival on what he named the Sandwich Islands. This is not your everyday Hawaiian, adorned with the commonly seen lime-green toning. Rather, this spectacular example dazzles with mostly untoned centers and lovely honey peripheries.
