I am mostly a fan of NGC coins, and a serious fan of NGC STAR designated coins. Sometimes I will run across a beautifully toned PCGS coin and I just cannot resist it, especially if it comes with a TrueView photo.
From what I understand, a photographer by the name of Phil was responsible for most or maybe all of the nicest True view photos for PCGS. And apparently Phil has moved over to Great Collections as their new all-star photographer. That was a huge win for Great Collections. Time will tell what that will mean for PCGS. They lost a big asset in losing that photographer.
A toner collector's delight with all the blue/violet colors going on. I really like the photo of this coin.
