Owner Comments:
KM-856. The 1941 half crown is scarce in mint state even by the standards of George VI coins. NGC has graded just 17 examples of this date, including three in MS-64. None have been graded in Gem condition by either grading service. PCGS has graded just nine coins and none higher than MS-63. This MS-64 example exhibits blazing mint luster and has hints of golden toning beginning to form at the peripheries. The usual light marks commensurate with the grade adorn the King's cheek. The reverse, as usual, is nearly flawless. This is one of the lowest mintage dates of the silver issues (1937-1946) at just 15,744,000 coins. NGC census: 17-3/0 Top Pop.
