Owner Comments:

The Arkansas State Quarter was released on October 20, 2003 as the twenty-fifth coin in the State Quarter Program. Arkansas’s original Statehood date was August 10, 1821.

The reverse features rice stalks (Arkansas is the leading producer of rice in the United States), a diamond, representing the Crater of Diamonds State Park, and a Mallard Duck flying over the many lakes of the state.

I visited the Crater of the Diamonds State Park on October 13, 2022 to try my hand at diamond mining but, alas, no diamonds were found.
