Owner Comments:
Charles III 1/2 Real 1763/2 Mo-F MS62 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM68, Gilboy M-05-63a, Cayon 11052. Deeply toned and well-struck, with an underlying luster. A very rare variety in any such condition, this example is immensely desirable in this condition. The only example of this overdate graded by NGC. None graded by PCGS.
Per Brad Yonaka's book "A Variety Guide To The Fractional Pillar Coinage Of Mexico City 1732-1771", this overdate is very rare with 4-5 known. Gilboy also describes this variety with "A" intruding left crown.
