This coin was struck to commemorate the 25th year (Silver Jubilee) of the reign of King George V of England (6 May 1910 to 20 January 1936). The coin was struck in a total mintage of 715,000 pieces and at a weight of 28.3 grams of 50% silver (0.4545 ASW).
The reverse of the Crown features a modern depiction of Saint George slaying the dragon. This particular design is sometimes referred to as the "rocking horse" crown, as the design of the dragon below the rearing horse bears a resemblance to a rocking horse.
