I'd like all of any early ASM / PPSSM / Web Of era covers until his "death" for sure but it's impossible to stop there. At this time cover appearances are more important than issues where there was just an appearance / cameo. The fun ones to track down are the random appearances that these characters made in non-Spidey titles. For some there are very few - if ANY - in 9.8, so it's not easy. Even some of the modern covers are scarce in my preferred grade. But that's not stopping me! ;) Ideally I'd like any appearance and maybe even add in the Hallows Eve and Demogoblin issues too! It helps that there are a lot of issues where there are appearances by multiple characters. Some will be issues that I got off the rack or out of bins and others much later. Let's go!!! I created this Custom Set in October 2022 to be able to enjoy my larger collection of these books in one place. I hope this is the best collection of books related to this storyline in the world... I'll add any other book here that fits with my Doomsday, Death of Superman, Funeral for a Friend, or Reign of the Supermen tribute theme, such as a neat Wonder Woman 111 that I recently discovered with a John Byrne Doomsday cover! There are some storylines featuring these characters, such as Doomsday Wars that will not be included because quite frankly, I think Doomsday should not have been messed with after Hunter Prey... I will add any other cool Doomsday cover here though if I enjoy it, and if the story didn't irritate me (too much)... ohhh how those Goat Horns that someone added to Doomsday later are a pet peeve of mine! I fell in love with Blade Runner because of my deep affinity for sci-fi and how much these movies made me think about what it means to be alive. As soon as I heard comics were being released that added more world building, I started collecting them immediately. Being a collector as well as someone who loves visual storytelling, I just knew I had to have them all. My obsession has driven me to grow this hobby into the best framed collection of Blade Runner artwork in the world, with special thanks to CGC and the Blade Runner fans out there who've helped me along the way. It gives me so much pride in not only curating this set, but also in sharing it with fellow comic book fans, movie fans, and the world. My personal goal is to get nearly all of the Blade Runner franchise comics in a 9.6 or higher. I'm also very proud that this set won the 2023 CGC Comics Registry award for Best Presented Set. As of 07/01/2023 there are 18 different pedigrees represented out of 61. Long way to go but I do enjoy the hunt! In the last two months, I have added five new pedigrees to the set! Bethlehem, Circle 8, Don/Maggie Thompson, Ohio and Northland. 49 books from 23 different pedigrees. December 2023: I got the second batch of reholders with the new labels. Ready to send the next group in! January 2024: the third group came back! Also awaiting the arrival of Crowley and Hawkeye copies. Preparing to send in another group soon. All of the new images have been added too. March 1 2024: there are now 54 books from 25 different pedigrees. Sending in the last group for new labels next week. May 14, 2024 Just added the 56th book from the 27th pedigree June 25, 2024 Added 2 9.6 Don Rosa GI Combat books today. Both were upgrades from a 9.2 (211) and a 9.4 (215) September 3, 2024- added a half dozen Don Rosa books, Sgt. Rock. 9.6s but an excellent price. This set is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I have enjoyed finding books not usually collected by me, and we all love the hunt. Awaiting the arrival of a Green River copy of Doom Patrol. So far there are plenty of war titles (my favorites), John Carter from Four Color, Gold Key and Marvel, Tarzan, Ben Bowie and even Lil Abner. And I’m not even halfway there. 10/18/2024 - The last group for reholder came back today. They look great with the new labels and holders. 28 different pedigrees with one that is getting sent in soon. 12/10/2024 I just added another Savannah copy. Also awaiting 3 Crippen D copies in for grade.
