In 1633 Galileo was convicted of heresy at an inquisition in Rome because he refused to abandon his controversial teaching that the Earth revolves around the Sun.
One of two graded at NGC for this mint and date. Not the greatest engraving here but it helps building my straight of dates through the 1630s
