Critique: Flawless 4th Crowned Head portrait of QE2, with 1st reverse. 10000 individual coins were minted, which is the highest amount for any of the proof sovs of the 1990's. There was not very much bidding interest in this coin, but I still ended up paying the maximum that I was willing to part with for it, since there are relatively few of them in this NGC top grade. Given the fairly large number produced, I'm guessing that the majority of them are still in hands of British collectors, who tend not to get coins graded, and this is the reason for the scarcity.
