GENGHIS KHAN hastened whatever was already underway at the outset of the 1200's to overturn the order of things in Europe and the Middle East. Mongol control caused the trade routes we refer to as the "Silk Road" to be reconnected and reopened and folks from even Western Europe got reacquainted with it.
Auction Cataloger at Heritage identifies this coin as AH 618, or AD 1221/1222. That would make it a lifetime issue of Genghis Khan, as he died in AD 1227.
