If someone asks you what die polish looks like, show them this coin. Up above the kneeling Doge's die-shifted head is a whirlwind of sharp streaks that clearly fall "under" or "behind" the devices. That's a series of raised ridges on the coin surface, not scratches, and they come from scratches in the DIE made by roughly polishing it.

This coin completes my set of all the Priuli family Doges. There were three: Lorenzo and Girolamo served back to back in the mid 1500's here. Later Antonio put in his time from 1618 to 1623.

NGC has graded 8 of these with this being one of the three MS-63 coins tied for the top position.
