1717-IIF Frankfurt (Free City) 1/8 Taler. Struck to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Reformation. Classified as KM180, Joseph/Fellner-698, Slg Whiting 172, 25mm diameter. Darker specks on surfaces referred to as haymarks by auction house as a result of alloy imperfections in planchet. Other 1717 commemorative denominations include 1/2 taler, 1 taler, and 1 ducat.
