1829-A. Lower Austria. Holy Roman Emperor Francis II (1804-1835) Taler. Vienna mint. DAV-9. KM-2163, Herinek-347. Simply a gorgeous specimen, the pristine nature of both faces clearly suggesting that the offering has been lovingly cared for since not long after it left the mint. Hardly admitting a stray mark, the reverse is so fresh as to make the viewer forget he is looking at a piece struck nearly two centuries ago. NGC MS-66.
