(1878) WHIPPLE DOLLAR - HK 832 - Gilt Bronze - MS 63 Also called the Bland-Allison Trade Dollar was made for O. M. Whipple and Co., Westfield, Mass. It is the most controversial of all pieces listed in H&K book because of its resemblance to the 1878 dollar and it bears the actual denomination ONE DOLLAR and the words LEGAL TENDER. ( Rare 51 to 250 known ) - MS 63 - Rare
