St. Prince Boris I Michael was a Bulgarian ruler who imposed Christianity and introduced the Slavic script in Bulgaria. He ruled from 852 to 889 and again briefly in 893, when he dethroned his first-born son Vladimir Rasate and placed his other son Simeon on the throne.
