Obverse: A view of the New Assembly Rooms between the Circus and Saville Row in Bath PRINCIPAL ENTRANCE NEW ROOMS in two rows Ex: BATH.
Reverse: The Arms and Supporters of the town of Bath in a sunken oval BATH CITY . TOKEN.

The New Assembly Rooms were built by subscription and opened in October 1771. They contained a ballroom, card rooms and several other public rooms. They were in use until they were burnt out in WW2 and were subsequently restored.
The tokens were struck on thick and thin flans, each are scarce. This was struck on a thick flan.
