Owner Comments:

The special issue Jefferson nickels of 1994 and 1997 have a unique matte finish. The 1997 Botanical Garden issue has a mintage of only 25 thousand which is the fifth smallest of the entire Jefferson nickel series. Only the proofs issues from 1938-1941 have smaller mintage numbers.

This flawless example represents a small number of SP70 graded nickels without any toning. This is my favorite Jefferson nickel.
