Phineas Mackintosh, Alexander Mackintosh, George Inglis and William Wilson were partners in a grocery store as well retailers of a wide variety of goods.
Phineas Mackintosh (d. 1812) was elected 4 times as the Provost of Inverness between 1770 and 1793. In 1799 he was one of 4 income tax commissioners.
Alexander Mackintosh (d. 1819) was a Baillie of Inverness in 1793 and was elected Provost of Inverness in 1803.
George Inglis (1764-1846) was a plantation owner in the British Colony of Guiana in 1792. He inherited the Barony of Skye and later lived in Germany.
William Wilson (1764-1811) was a grocer and after the partnership dissolved in 1805 continued to manage the grocery store.
