Owner Comments:

The Mechanical Error on this label is the "Y Resembles X" designation, for which i will take part of the blame. On the submission form I did not specify the specific designation I believed that this coin should have, that being "Y Resembles Y/2".

First a little back story, this coin has two variations which are designated as KM#-10.1 (Ukrainian letter "Y" looks similar to "X") and KM#-10.2 (Ukrainian letter "Y" looks similar to "Y/2"). Of this there is no doubt as I have both variations in my possession, where the confusion starts is with the image provided in the The Standard Catalog of WORLD COINS. The image for KM-10.1 (Ukrainian letter "Y" looks similar to "X") is actually the image for KM-10.2 ("Y" similar to "Y/2". Also adding to the identification trouble is the lack of an image for the KM-10.2 ("Y" similar to "Y/2"). For further reference I went to the NGC online World Coin Price Guide. The W.C.P.G. has the same issue as the Standard Catalog of WORLD COINS, only one image for two coins and the image is improperly identified (I believe). My only conclusion to draw is that the NGC W.C.P.G. obtained its info either form the S.C.W.C. or they both acquired there information from the same independent source. At any rate the lack of me assigning a designation on my submission form with info, and the current information available being incorrect contributed to the Mechanical Error on this label. I will be submitting both variations at the same time with proper identification to see if this can be sorted out once and for all.

I submitted two of these coins, as a result they both received labels with mechanical errors. These are the only two with this designation currently graded by NGC. I currently have both in my possession.
