Owner Comments:
In 1999, the mint commenced its program to create a special quarter celebrating each of the 50 states. The quarters were issued 5 per year in order of the state’s entry into the union. Delaware, “The First State”, started the series and proof versions of this coin were issued in both clad and 90% silver. The Delaware silver proofs had a significantly lower mintage than the clad versions making them scarcer particularly in Proof 70 Ultra Cameo (PF 70 UC).
