Constantinople. Nimbate bust of Christ facing, raising right hand in benediction and holding Gospels tucked in left arm / Crowned facing half-length bust of Constantine IX, wearing loros of square pattern, holding cruciform scepter in right hand and and globe surmounted by pelleted cross. Sear 1830. DOC 3a. Well struck on a broad flan, with a superb Christ portrait.
