General Comments:

1910 is a vexing date. It's a semi-key better date. That said, many raw UNC examples exist, although most are lower-end. Some of these sold for paltry amounts just before I got serious about 1/5 Sols, and when the catalog value was much lower. Since 2014 I have seen no certified 1910's on ebay, auction sites, or in dealer inventory. And the sales of raw Uncs have largely dried up. Some examples come with semi-proof-like surfaces. Varieties are also a bit confusing, see below.

Varieties:

1. 1910/00*

For other minor variations see comments below:

*I have seen three 1910/00's that definitely show a curved line below the second "1" in the date. On my coin, all other numerals are also re-punched. What is odd is that the original first "0" was near the rim, whereas the second "0" is much higher. While there are 1/5 Sols of 1900 with a higher second "0", there are none with quite this discrepancy I have seen. Another issue is that if these coins really are 1910/1900, then they should have an FG/JF. See next comment. On two of the three definitive 1910/00 coins I've seen there are two die cracks running between the tops assayer initials FG but not touching. Perhaps 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 coins is the overdate.

Many coins appear to have a re-punched F/F in the assayer initials. The "G" on some does show a bar between the top of the letter and the midsection which could be a trace of an "F" but I have not seen a definitive FG/JF.

Some dates have re-punching on the numerals but are not the overdate. Some show a bit of a stem under the second "1".

Many coins have a notch in the center of the "S" of SOL. Placement and size of SOL font differs slightly coin to coin. The shape of the superscript o also varies.

The "9" in the date is always tilted, and the last "0" is always high, but there are minor differences in placement and different punches were in use. One coin I have seen has a "9" with an abbreviated base curl which juts upwards earlier than on other coins. On some coins the "0" is slightly wider in the date than on others.

Value Guide:

1972 Almanzar/Seppa: F: 1.25 VF: 2 XF: 3.25

2009 KM:

1910: VF: 7 XF: 12 UNC: 25
1910/00: VF: 7 XF: 15 UNC: 35

Current KM:

1910: VF: 25 XF: 40.50 UNC: 80
1910/00: VF: 25 XF: 55 UNC: 115

The 2009 guide had the 1910 at $25 in UNC and $35 for the overdate. It's good to see KM increasing the price point yet I think $80 is not what the current market is bringing expect for higher-end coins in a holder. VF/XF pricing is absolutely too high. See my pricing below. For the record, I paid $100 for a raw UNC (63ish) in a private sale. The premium for the 1910/00 seems reasonable, although I'm not sure how many are all that that worried about the overdate.

This date is perhaps the hardest date to price in the entire 1/5 Sol series, due to no certified coins being sold in the last many years, raw UNCs selling for very low sums 4-5 years ago, and the fact that nice examples exist, yet they are rarely brought to market, even with the large book value increase. My pricing would be: VF/XF: $10-$20 AU: $20-25 Raw MS 61-62: $30-$35 Certified MS 63: $50-70 Certified MS 64: $75-$100 Certified MS 65: $100-$150.

Auction Results:

Comment: For whatever reason (possibly lower catalog values at the time), the better grade coins went for paltry amounts. I would expect nice certified examples to do exponentially better.
