1859-S $5 AU58 NGC. An extremely rare date in higher grades, as nearly all of the 13,220 coin mintage entered circulation. The typical piece grades just XF, and NGC and PCGS have only certified three Mint State pieces. This nicely defined near-Mint piece has lustrous light yellow surfaces with splashes of rose and violet patina.
