Owner Comments:

The obverse and reverse designs are the same that the Mint used to strike regular issue 1863 Liberty Eagles with the exception of the presence of the motto GOD OUR TRUST on a scroll in the upper-reverse field. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This is a handsome near-Gem, awash in deep, rich, reddish-copper patina. With a full strike and smooth-looking features, the surfaces are not all that far from an even higher numeric grade.
