The top margin touches the upper note line limiting the grade on this note. It does have a huge right side margin. The reverse is centered slightly high.

Owner Comments
A very popular fractional currency note of the 4th issue. These sport a somewhat young portrait of Lincoln. The first of the 4th issue 50-cent notes to be printed with 19,152,000 notes being printed. This being a well margined gem with a good margin on the bottom of the reverse which comes closely cut on many notes.

Owner Comments
- This note has the image of William H. Crawford who was Secretary of the Treasury from 1817-1825 who looks very similar to Bob Hope. The paper has blue and red fibers on the right end with a light blue tint. From the 5th series, they were issued from July 1875 to February of 1876 with 13,160,000 notes being printed. They are somewhat common but hard to find centered well and without pinholes. Only 7 notes graded higher at PMG.
