Unionville, MO The Marshall NB Ch. # (M)3068 PMG 25 $10 1902 PB Fr. 624 SN 3551/T350771B pp D/296 dtd. Oct. 2, 1903. A Replacement note on this private name bank. Signatures of W.A. Shelton, Cashier and N. (Neal) B. Marshall, President, remain substantially visible and their jumbo size adds to the note's unquestionable appeal. Carl L. Crooks assumed the role of cashier in 1918 whereupon one must assume Marshall kept Crooks under control. Unionville rests near the exact center of Putnam county, which is found far to the northern border of Missouri where you would expect to find a Unionville.

The signatures of Cashier D(aniel) Annan and President Lloyd Lowndes are weak but there. Mr. Lowndes was governor of Maryland from 1896 to 1900.
