Owner's Description
Cortland, NY The NB Ch. # (E)2272 PMG 30 $10 1882 BB Fr. 487 SN 5676/E538996E pp A/73 dtd. May 14, 1895. Just after the 1903 swap over to rotary numbering (Hewett E538000E). New NY State Seal. Excellent pen signatures of F. (Frank) J. Peck, Cashier (1889-1917) and S.S. Knox, President (1897-1917). Mr. Peck succeeded Mr. Knox in 1918 and successfully led his bank through the Great Depression. Ex Bill Sabis collection
