Owner's Description

This note has an interesting story. it is one of the very first notes I ever acquired, and as I tried to put in the registry, I had some difficulty. I asked about my problem on the forums, but received no answer. I continued to research and eventually discovered the problem. The note, as I received it, was labelled with the FR#1929-E*, and designated as printed in Fort Worth. I saw, however, that the note was actually printed in Washington D.C., and thus should have been labelled as FR#1928-E*. This error was why the note would not register, as there is no slot for a Fort Worth printed star note for this series in the District set. The note has been returned to PMG for correction and reholdering.

The purchase of the note was made on eBay, and went for an amazingly low price for such a high grade. Population reports show that there is only one note graded 68EPQ, and I imagine that after the correction, that there will be only two. There are none graded higher.
