Set Description:
Backstory: I became aware of this title while in elementary school, as a few of my classmates had copies that they were generous enough to share with me. I never had any of my own Spidey Super Stories as a child, but I always enjoyed (and appreciated!) the opportunity to thumb through a classmates copy when the occasion presented itself. As the years went by, I sort of forgot about this title but was once again reunited with it through online comic auctions. Since Spider-Man is my favorite all-time comic character, it was a fairly easy choice to make this the Bronze Age Spider-Man title I decided to build. As I sit here, a dozen issues away from completion, I'm struck by how difficult it's been to find these comics in the high-grade condition I decided to acquire them in! I suppose it makes sense, since these were aimed at a younger audience and the likelihood that those younger readers kept these comics in nice shape was slim. It would've CERTAINLY been easier to build a run of Spectacular Spider-Man, and I may still DO that someday, but not until I finish this run.
