Ultimate Spider-man. Bendis has the alternate Ultimate Universe laid out! If he wants it done or written, he'll do it his way! Ultimate comedy right there if you ask me, with the creativity and drive to think it out, it can happen! Not too haughty in spirit, nor done for! Bendis even came back with a story on Miles Morales. It did take some work put in, and the time to have issues put under the belt of the character. THAT IT DID!
"The Ultimate" turn a phrase or adjective was ultimately new or not as heard of, once upon a time. Now they have ultimate and maximum strength! Ya, figure out what will kill, then back it off a little bit! ~ Jerry Seinfeld
By way of Bagley and Bendis we've got some ultimate style in storytelling that I'm glad the now seasoned veterans got in the time to showcase, and just what it is they do best. A complete universe and unto itself? It was those risk takers that brought back some out of the way collectors and readers back to a substantial readership. Not quite breaking the back of the market, but in the way of the slow and steady to keep all audiences riveted. A volume that came in more modern times, and kind of went into the reboot theatrics, as a "not of this universe" kind that still tells that old habits die hard, which were even harder for those Spidey fans with nostalgia such as Bagley and then newcomer Bendis. Taking the web to the grindstone, so to speak, to spell it all out in a multiple issue volume that became steady reads.
