Owner's Description

Medal (Token), 1850, CU, A.B. VAN COTT JEWELER WATCHMAKER, Store Card- Merchant Card Token Pre-Civil War, Rulau M-WIS-12, NGC MS61, Cert# 2614046-001. This old copper merchant token reads - Watches, Clocks, Jewelry and Fancy Goods and features a pocket watch and chain. Rv. A.B. Van Cott, Racine Wisconsin and features an Eagle with spread wings. There are earlier types which spell Racine incorrectly, "Racim", and these error types once thought to be more rare, are actually more common. This token is scarce in mint state and with the strong strike this specimen has.
