Medal, 1834, AE, DEATH OF F. SCHLEIERMACHER, Germany, NGC MS66BN, Cert# 3349871-016. Bronze Medal issued for the death of Schleiermacher who was born in Breslau, Poland, and died in Berlin, Germany. Loos directed the production of the Medal. Diameter is 42.5 mm. Friedrich Daniel Ernst Schleiermacher was a German theologian, philosopher, and biblical scholar known for his attempt to reconcile the criticisms of the Enlightenment with traditional Protestant Christianity
