Owner's Description

Medal, 1881, AE, ROYAL MARRIAGE RODOLPH & STEPHANIE, Austria. NGC graded MS65BN, Cert# 2767173-072. Size: 32.5mm. Original surfaces. Light Chocolate Patina. Unlike the medal, this was a marriage not made in heaven, Rodolph tried to obtain a divorce and had numerous affairs, and when his father refused to allow him to marry his mistress, he shot his mistress in the head and then killed himself.
