Owner's Description

THERE ARE NO WHITE METALS OF THIS TYPE IN THE NGC CENSUS AS OF 10/2018. THIS MEDAL WAS SOLD IN THE 2013 STACKS BOWERS AUCTION OF THE JOHN J. FORD COLLECTION OF AMERICAN POLITICAL MEDALS. THE DESCRIPTION FROM THE STACKS BOWERS AUCTION IS BELOW: The obverse rim is particularly high and very pronounced on this piece. Fully struck throughout, with semi-reflective fields and no singularly distracting abrasions. Otherwise brilliant, a splash of light silver gray toning is confined to the reverse field behind Harrison's bust. Provenance: From the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection. Earlier ex: Wayte Raymond; F.C.C. Boyd estate. Paper envelope with attribution notation included.
