Medal, 1838, AE, VICTORIA CORONATION MEDAL, Great Britain, BHM-1801, NGC MS64BN, Cert# 3350125-012. HANOVER. Victoria. 1837-1901. Æ Medal (38mm, 23.84 g, 12h). Coronation of Queen Victoria. By Benedetto Pistrucci. Dated 28 June 1837 in Roman numerals. VICTORIA D. G. BRITANNIARUM REGINA F. D. , bust left, wearing bandeau / ERIMUS TIBI NOBILE REGNUM (we shall be for you a gracious kingdom), Victoria seated left on throne, holding scepter and orb, lion behind, Queen receiving crown from Britannia, Hibernia, and Scotia standing to left; to far right, lion standing facing, with forepaw resting upon thunderbolt; in three lines in exergue, INAUGURATA/DIE JUNII XXVIII/MDCCCXXXVIII (crowned on the 28th of June). Attractive.
