Medal, 1951, AR (cast), GOD & FREEDOM, United States, Arizona, So Called Dollar, HK-916, NGC MS63, Cert# 2593853-013. Conceived by Dr. Frederick A. Barnhill while serving as chaplain in the U.S. Armed Forces, intended as a "tangible symbol of the two things most important in the world". Obv. Cross, GOD above, Rv. U.S. Flag, mincroscopic "c" to upper left, below Flag, FREEDOM. Plain Edge. Much rarer than suggested in the HK So Called Dollars Book. This example was Ex. Heritage, June 2013, Lot 9682.
