Medal, 1939, AR, NEW YORK WORLD"S FAIR, United States, New York, Silver So-Called Dollar, HK-491, reeded edge, NGC MS61, Cert# 2564532-012. Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of George Washington's Inauguration as our President. Medal Designed by H.C. Kreis, struck by Medallic Art Co. and sold by manufacturers Trust Co. at the Exposition branch commencing June 23, 1939. (There was no issue for 1940). Rarity: R-3 (501-2000 known to exist). Popular Type for Collectors. Obv. Trylon and Perisphere, around New York World's Fair, below 1939. Rv. Official Token Created by Order of the Executive Committee March 27th, 1939, Signed Grover W. Whalen, President, around, New York World's Fair 1939 Incorporated.
