Owner's Description

This slot contains two Lincoln Cents that have been struck by previously struck coins. - A "Partial Brockage" happens when a previously struck coin fails to eject and lands partly over the next incoming Planchet. During the strike of this combination, the new Planchet will receive the design from the previously struck coin, which was partly on top of the new Planchet. This impression will be reversed, as though it was viewed thru a mirror, and depressed into the new Planchet. The technical term is an "Incused Image" or "Mirror Image". The portion of the Planchet not covered by the previously struck coin will receive the normal strike from the hammer die.
