Owner's Description

Purchased from John Maben Rare Coins, Inc. on 5/14/2011. The Winter Scene is the Fourth of the Royal Canadian's Winter Scene series. It has a $20 face value and a low mintage of only 8,000 coins. The silent calm of just-fallen snow pervades the winterscape on Québec artist Rémi Clark's pastoral masterpiece. Two people drag a just-cut Christmas tree back to their homestead, set in rolling hills covered with snow. The piece features a prominent image of a horse, and so it fits beautifully into my horse-themed custom set. What a beauty!
