This slot contains a very rare (1976Bicentennial) 40% Silver Quarter Planchet 5.82Grams. - 40% Silver Clad Quarter Specifications are: WHT:5.75grams. DIA:24.3mm. EDGE:Reeded. ALLOY:Outer Layers of 80%Silver, 20%Copper. Bonded to an inner core of 21%Silver, 79%Copper. PLANCHET USED TO MFG: 1976BicentennialSilver-CladWashingtonQuarter. NOTE: This was the only year that the 40% Silver mixture was used to produce a Quarter. Approx. 11 Million pieces of the 40% Silver 1776to1976 Quarters were minted.
