Owner's Description

THIS IS LISTED AS A CAMPAIGN MEDAL ON THE NGC HOLDER, BUT THIS IS ACTUALLY A MEDAL CELEBRATING THE PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURAL OF BENJAMIN HARRISON IN 1888. THIS IS THE ONLY EXAMPLE LISTED IN THE NGC CENSUS FOR THIS TYPE AS OF 10/2018. There is just a trace of light handling on the glossy mahogany brown surfaces. The original gold ribbon is frayed but present, and the original crossed bars suspension pin is still affixed. Provenance: From the Brian Dobbins Collection of American Political Tokens.
