Owner's Description

The obverse is close to full red with just a trace of faint steel mellowing in the fields. The reverse exhibits deeper orange toning with accents of mottled violet and blue. Sharp and lustrous with nice eye appeal and just a few scattered toning spots. Virtually identical to the ex Ford specimen, which brought $940 in 2013. Dies by Robert Lovett Jr. This is the only example of this type in copper listed in the NGC census as of 12/2018.
