Owner's Description

c1961 Bashlow's Mule of Sommer Islands - Hudson Fulton SCD. The Hudson Ship Die was designed by Frank C. Higgins and sculpted by E. Roine for T. Elder's 1909 Hudson-Fulton Exposition piece HK-373.  The Sommer Islands Ship was prepared for M. Dickeson in the 1850's.  The piece was struck for Bashlow by August Frank Co. using Elder's die. Actual production of the 3 types of SCD's was less then indicated with all coins being either Very Scarce or Rare.
