Owner's Description

Purchased on 3/31/2012. This coin features the mythical Korean flying horse, called the Chollima. In Korean, this creature's name roughly means "thousand-mile horse", and it is most often portrayed as a winged horse. Several statues are found in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang. The Chollima is also the mascot/nickname of the North Korean national soccer team, and in history The Chollima Movement (an economic development plan intended to boost technology and efficiency) was also named after the creature.
