Owner's Description

Purchased on eBay on 4/25/2011. This is the 2nd of a series of coins minted in Poland to commemorate the role of the cavalry in the history of Poland. This coin features a medieval knight in full regalia with the text RYCERZ CIEZKOZBROJNY XV w. translated as "heavy armored mounted horseman of the 15th century". Similarly designed proof coins commemorating the same topic were released in 2007 in gold (200 Zlote) and silver (rectangular designed 10 Zlote -- also in my horses collection).
